The Xcel Energy Center gave us the incredible opportunity to build a unique gift for James Taylor in celebration of his performance at their venue. After much thought, we knew a custom guitar was the perfect way to honor both his legendary career and personal journey. Every detail of the guitar was carefully considered to reflect James’ story—engraved family portraits, lyrics from some of his most iconic songs, and the use of copper wire for the strings to add a distinctive touch. We even incorporated custom lighting to make the guitar truly stand out on stage or display.
When James received the guitar, his reaction was priceless. He was deeply moved by the personal touches and the craftsmanship behind it. After his show, he and Kurt sat down and spent over an hour talking about the design, the inspiration behind it, and the thoughtfulness that went into every element.
